Grand Canyon National Park is one of the oldest national parks in the United States. The canyon itself is one of the deepest and largest in the world and is more than 277 miles long, 18 miles wide in some spots and up to a mile deep. The park features several major ecosystems and offers visitors the opportunity for hiking, mountain biking, river rafting, kayaking and horseback riding.
